August 28, 2021 at 12:39 amRest in Peace Aunt Peggy. Peggy (Golden) Lovett was born in Kyrock Kentucky (Edmonson County in 1936. Her Father was Creighton Earl Golden 1905-1967 also born in Kyrock. Peggy’s mother was Jesse Katherine Williams. I saw aunt Peggy very little the last few years. When I was younger she lived in California and moved back to Evansville with Kathy her daughter in the early 80s. They stayed with us a few months. Peggy was a hard worker and always worked overtime. She loved her job and profession caring for others. She was my Dad’s big sister. Dad, Lee Golden passed in January of 2021
Peggy D. (Golden) Lovett went home to be with the Lord on August 25,
2021. She was born in California on March 11, 1936.
Peggy was a beautiful bright soul. Peggy enjoyed gardening and
growing different kinds of flowers. She liked being outdoors in the
sunlight. She also enjoyed caring for her cats. Peggy spent 30 years in
healthcare as a CNA. She worked at Woodbridge Nursing Home, now
known as Golden Living Center. She loved caring for the residents and
helping them be comfortable. Peggy had a smile that could brighten the
whole room. She eventually found herself at Mt. Vernon Nursing and
Rehab. Since Peggy had so much experience, she was always trying to
help the staff take care of things. They absolutely loved her there.
Peggy did spend time with family, but her best memories were with her
grandbabies, they were the apples of her eye. Great women are rarely
forgotten, for so many, Peggy will live on in their hearts.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Folsom; her
granddaughter, Tiffany (Ryan) Sallee; her great grandkids; her sister-in-
law, Nancy Golden; her cousins, Linda Queen and Christine Ashby; her
nephew, Rob Golden; and a great, long-time friend, Sheryl Smitty.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Lee
Golden.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mt. Vernon Nursing
and Rehabilitation and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and
assistance with Peggy.
