Customize Your Service
Among the choices you’ll make is whether you want:
- a traditional funeral
- a traditional cremation; or
- to customize everything from your service, to your casket, to your burial.
Many families believe costs may restrict them from planning a fitting tribute. Photographs, a special song, or even a favorite tie or golf clubs, can be incorporated into the funeral service and burial. You tell us what it is it is that made your loved one so special and we’ll give you ideas to help you personalize your tribute. Whatever your wishes, our staff will give you full details about our products and services to assist you in making your selection.
At Sunset, we believe that a life remembered…lives on. It lives on in the hearts and minds of everyone who cherishes a memory of the deceased. That is why we have created our exclusive Sunset Memories Room, adjacent to our Visitation Chapel.
We stage this room with photos, videos, memorabilia, and interactive displays that foster conversations as memories are recalled and stories are shared. Our goal is to help you honor your loved one by sharing fond memories and celebrating the story of their life.
The Sunset Memories Room helps to keep the focus of the gathering on how your loved one lived, not how they died. To learn more, watch the video below, or call us at 812-477-5316.
The Art at Sunset
Sunset Funeral Home features permanent artwork by local artists reflecting the area’s rich history and heritage. When it came time to select the artwork, we wanted our walls to tell a story to capture the flavor of the Evansville area. We discovered that the city is filled with talented local artists like Cedric Hustace, Coral Hartl, Evelyn Steinkuhl, Jerry Baum, Dennis Rowe, and Jim Schultz.
We hope you like what we’ve chosen as you walk through the funeral home. Each piece includes a vignette describing the art and information on the artist. Stop in any time to tour the special collection we’ve put together, which features descriptions of the art and the artist.
