Patty Jane McDonald, 81, passed away on April 16, 2020. She was born on October 24, 1938 to James and Pauline Barkley in Greenville, Kentucky.
Patty was an amazing caregiver. She had a special gift for taking care of children and her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Patty enjoyed gardening and travelling, especially to to Gulf Shores with her friend Donna McLean. Patty was a longtime member of Fairlawn Methodist Church.
Patty is survived by her husband of 63 years Billy McDonald; her son Timothy (Stacy) McDonald; her grandchildren Hannah McDonald, Blake McDonald, Amanda Tompkins, and Amber (Justin) Slaton; her great-grandchildren Journi Slaton, Abbie Tompkins, and Allie Tompkins; her sisters Brenda (David) Fulcher and Janet (Butch) Sweeney; and many nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her son Michael McDonald; her parents; and her brother Jim Barkley.
Private services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial in Sunset Memorial Park.
