Patricia “Pat” Walter

Patricia “Pat” Walter, 83, passed away on July 23, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on December 22, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana to the late John Maxwell “Max” and Mary “Dot” (Dusky) Murray.
Pat Graduated from Bosse High School and was active in their alumni group. She retired from Atlas Van Lines where she served as an assistant vice president of human resources. She was a charter member of the American Business Women’s Association in Evansville. She volunteered and mentored for the Junior Achievement of South West Indiana. She was a toastmaster and lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the River Bend Association.
Pat loved to read, play cards, bowl, golf, and travel. She was the hostess for all of her family’s events whether it be her New Year’s eve parties or hosting a super bowl get together. When not entertaining Pat enjoyed sitting down for one of her favorite television shows or even stopping by the casino to play a few spins of the slot machines. She was best described as a force of nature. Among all of her hobbies Pat’s favorite was spending time with her family who she loved with all her heart.
Pat is survived by her daughters Stacy Tuttle (George Humphrey), Sharon Medernach, and Susan Ward (Gary); brothers Charles Murray (Maria) of Nashville, Tennessee, and David Wilkerson (Brenda) of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-laws Marcia Murray of Cadillac, Michigan, and Cherie Murray of Cincinnati, Ohio; granddaughter Chelsie Ours (Adam) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her dear friends on Sheridan road; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents Pat is preceded in death by her brothers John Maxwell Murray, Stephen Murray (Bonnie), and Michael Murray.
A Celebration of life will be held for Pat on Friday July 30, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Visitation time will begin at 2:00pm with the service to start at 3:30pm.
