My condolences to the family, my step father was Harold Wire, Robert Allen Wires brother, I had not seen members of this family since I was a child, but I do remember we used to visit when I was young.
Pamela Jackquline LaMar, 76, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2021 at her home she shared with her daughter, surrounded by loved ones and her faithful companion, Tesla, who never left her side. Pamela was born on October 10, 1945 in Evansville, IN, to the late Robert and Nellie (Williams) Wire.
Pamela married the love of her life, the late Norman LaMar. She was a devoted wife and mother, and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she always made sure everyone felt special and loved. Pamela was known for always being a good listener and had a smile that would light up the room. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, crocheting, as well as watching the hummingbirds in her back yard. Pamela also enjoyed her Little Debbie Cakes, Mt. Dew, and a good bologna sandwich with homegrown tomatoes and onion. Because without onion, it’s just not a good sandwich, as she would always say. Pamela will be deeply missed by her family and friends, especially her dog, Tesla.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman LaMar, and all six of her siblings, Maxine Freels, Betty Munier, Bobby Wire, Billy Wire, Joan Figueroa and baby, Carolyn Wire.
Pamela is survived by her children, Tamara (Jimmy) Keller, Jerry (Dianna) Embry, Allen (Mary) Embry, Lonnie Jr. (Debbie) Embry, and Carol (Randy) Stewart; Grandchildren, Kimberly, Thomas, Brandon, Bradley, Benjamin, Robert, Kristina, George, Steven, Andrew, Bailey, John, Sarah, Shana, and Melissa. In addition, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Clay, Katie, Daisy, Megan, Keagon, Mackenzie, Keagon, Kamdyn, Nicholas, Miguel, Emma, Terence, Maliyah, Adrian, La-Nyah, her baby, Tesla, brother, Greg Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at 12pm on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home with entombment to follow at the Mausoleum of Serenity Garden.
The family would like to give a special thanks to AseraCare Hospice for taking such good care of Pamela.
