Maurine Mattingly, age 68, loving mother of four, and adoring Memaw, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2023. She was born May 27, 1954, in Evansville, IN.

Maurine was influenced by her mother to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, which she incorporated by being the best mom and Memaw one could wish for.  To know her was truly to love her.  She was warm and nurturing, charismatic and kind.  She had a deep love for Jesus, that shined through her generous and tender spirit.  She was a hard worker who was employed at Great Scot for 13 years, and then at beloved Roberts Stadium as the Director of Catering for a decade or more.  She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals, and baking with love.  She loved family get-togethers, beach vacations, going to concerts, shopping, planting flowers, and spending time in the sunshine.  She attended One Life Church where she relished morning worship.

Maurine was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Owens, mother Joyce (Baggett) Ferguson, and father, Maurice Owens.

She is survived by her four daughters, April (Al) Brandt, Heather Wilson, Chrystal (Kent) Hermann, and Amberina Travers.  Additionally, she is survived by her 14 grandchildren, Erika, Aaron, Faith Noel, Nick, Katie, Bonds, Drew, Loreal, Jordan, Brooklyn, Charlee, Chance, Cayden, Kendrick, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at 12pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Chapel of Peace, Sunset Memorial Park with burial to directly follow.  We will be holding a celebration of Memaw’s beautiful life immediately afterwards, where all are welcome to join.
