Mary Katherine Mitchell, 93, passed away on May 4, 2020. She was born on November 20, 1926 to Ben S. and Eura Isham in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.
Mary Katherine was very outdoorsy. She loved spending time tending to her garden and planting flowers. Mary Katherine enjoyed working on word searches and traveling. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and her cats.
Mary Katherine is survived by her daughters Linda (Raymond) Winternheimer, Connie Mitchell, Patti (Darrel) Healy, and Judy McGraw; her grandchildren David (Bridgette) Winternheimer, Sherri (Jeremy) Young, Kayla (Russell) Birdwell, Daniel (Autumn) Winternheimer, and Charles McGraw; her great-grandchildren Trent Winternheimer, Jacob Winternheimer, Wyatt Winternheimer, Lane Winternheimer, Cole Winternheimer, Caine McGraw, Chace McGraw, Justus Healy, Ryen Healy, Camren Birdwell, Kaeden Young, Kristian Young, Kraig Young, and Krystin Oakley; her traveling buddy Winnie Schneider; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Mary Katherine was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Thomas Elwood Mitchell; her grandson Joshua Birdwell; her siblings Dorcas Schneider, Bernice Griffin, Susie Burris, Martha Medcalf, Clay Isham, and Bennie Isham; and her parents Ben S. and Eura Isham.
A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
