Mamaw I love you ever so very much and I already miss you more then you know. Although I’m writing this and balling my eyes out with sadness that you are gone, I also am very happy that I know you are not hurting anymore and you are having a good ole time up in heaven with Papaw…I hope y’all are sock hop dancin together like its your first time all over again and smiling down on all of us. Marlene Sue (Snodgrass) McFarland, 77, passed away on April 5, 2023. She was born on January 27, 1946, to Leslie and Georgia Snodgrass in Evansville, Indiana.
Sue was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a talented Sock Hop dancer. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in the sunshine. In her spare time, you would find her playing bingo. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest love.
Sue is survived by her children Billy (Cindy) McFarland, Latonya Clegg, Theresa (David) Brown, Tammy (Jeff) Wersich, John (Heather) McFarland, Zeke (Pam) McFarland; grandchildren Nykki McFarland, Charnyl McFarland, Brian Knight, Brittany Knight, Nathan Clegg, Mathew Clegg, Jennifer Brown, Jesse Brown, Jeremy Wersich, Joshua Wersich, Joseph Wersich, Jacob Wersich, John McFarland IV, Kyle McFarland, Alicia McFarland, Bryan Houchin, Nathan Carpenter, Caleb Clark, Jordan McFarland; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Sandy Barton, Gary (Judy) Snodgrass, Georgetta Durham, Rick (Cindy) Snodgrass, Jean (Pete) Butterowe, Terry Snodgrass, Timmy Snodgrass; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband John McFarland; son-in-law Derrick Clegg; grandson Zachariah McFarland; and siblings Mary Joe Pierce, Paula Durham, Phyllis Durham, Nancy Snodgrass, Earl Snodgrass, Donnie Snodgrass.
Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at 12pm on Monday, April 10,2023 at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
