Jacqueline Rae “Jackie” (Sirels) Tevault, 91, passed away on December 12, 2021. She was born on January 17, 1930, in Evansville, Indiana, to Raymond and Beatrice (Hadley) Sirels.

Jackie, a 1947 graduate of Reitz High School, attended William Woods College where she received an Associate Degree. She worked as a travel agent with Roy Cardello for two years, she worked in banking with Security National Life for six years and at Bank of America for two years. Jackie also worked as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide at Holtville Schools for 14 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women of Ventura, California. Jackie also co-founded the Genealogical Society of Ventura County, California and founded the Genealogical Society of Imperial County, California. In 1950, Jackie married Jack Robert Tevault, and together they raised three beautiful children. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading her favorite series, The Outlander, and spending time with her cats. Jackie loved her family very much and enjoyed every moment she shared with them.

Jackie is survived by her children, Michael Tevault, Cara Burns, Steven (Robin Hong) Tevault; her grandchildren, Kyrstyn Burns, Ryder (Grace Kapelski) Burns, Sarah Tevault, and Jack Ryan Tevault; her beloved cat, Sophie; and many more loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jack; and her parents.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Jackie can be made to Vanderburgh County Humane Society.

Sunset Funeral Home will be hosting services for Jackie on Friday, December 17, 2021.  Visitation will begin at 12:00pm, with a graveside services to immediately follow at 1:30pm.
