Evelyn Howell Robertson of Evansville, IN was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was 87 years old, passing away on June 13, 2022. Evelyn was born in Rumsey Kentucky to Roy Stanley and Madeline (McLaughlin) Howell.
She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband Jerry L. Robertson.
She is survived by a brother and two sisters; children Deborah A. Conner, Stanley A. Conner (Cindy), James H. Davis (Peggy), and Steven H. Davis (Kelly); Grandchildren Kristi Mills (Brian), Elizabeth Kingery (Jake), Jennifer Nelson, Ashley Conner, and Bailey Davis; and numerous great grandchildren.
Evelyn retired from the State of Indiana in 2001. She enjoyed simple things in life: dining out, traveling, playing cards, and board games. Evelyn was a masterful scrabble player that took great pleasure in punishing opponents with triple scores using letters J, Q, X and Z. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers Cherie, Brenda, and Pensi.
A Christian service will be held on Monday 6/20 at Sunset Funeral Home Evansville, IN; visitation 11 – 1, with service following.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to one of the following charities: Alzheimer’s
Association, Evansville Rescue Mission, or Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
