Eugene F. Yonts, 93, of Evansville, Indiana passed away September 11, 2018 in Evansville. He was born August 10, 1925, son of Raymond Yonts and Della (Welty) Troutman in Herrin, Illinois. He was known for being a proud World War II veteran where he served as a frontline medic at the Battle Of the Bulge under General Patton and being a Godly man. He was retired from Whirlpool and in his spare time enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest loves were his church, Bethel Pentecostal Church of Evansville, his family and God.
He is survived by his spouse of 72 years, Mary L. Yonts; children, Ray G. (Lynn) Yonts and Randy (Rhonda) Yonts, both of Evansville; grandchildren, Michele Wagner, Melody Mehringer, Monica Sinclair, Josh Yonts, and Bethani Rumsey; 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Yonts and Della (Welty) Troutman and siblings Robert, Jack and Delene.
There will be a visitation at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 9 AM until 12 PM with a service to immediately follow with Pastor Aaron Henson and Assistant Pastor Ted Totsch to officiate.
