Elvis R. Francis, 84, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2022. He was born on December 18, 1937 to Jodie and Rilla (Whitson) Francis in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.
Elvis greatly enjoyed being outdoors fishing. He spent many weekends attending yard sales and flea markets. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. Elvis was a jokester, he loved making others laugh. He always had a nickname or joke ready. If you were ever called pooptails, you were definitely a friend. Â Above all, his family was his world. Elvis was a joy to be around and will be missed by all.
Elvis is survived by son Anthony Francis and children Tambi, Anthony, Tashina, Misty, Daniel; son Earl Francis (Tammy) and children Angelica, Julian, Brock; son Bobby Francis and wife Noella and  children Amber, Destiny, Davina, Ashley; daughter Sherry Francis and children Gideon, Abby and Andrea; daughter Teresa Tompkins (Eugene) and children Tiffany (Jeff)  Daniel (Brittany); son Elvis Francis Jr. and children Jailyn, Elijah, Danielle, and Haley; sister Wilma Francis Kimbro (Doug); 2 nieces Michelle and Laura; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Elvis was preceded in death by parents and brothers JC Francis, Kenneth Earl Francis, Jodie Howard Francis.
Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at 1pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
