Arnold “Ernie” Gray passed away on April 23, 2021. He was born on September 9, 1957, in Irvine, Kentucky.
Ernie served in the Navy for 17 years. He loved fishing and working on his truck in his free time. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Cubs baseball, and Colts football. The light of his life was his family, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert “Bobby” Hoover of Nashville, Georgia; sisters Armetti Glander of Lexington, Kentucky and Bertha Gray of Richmond, Kentucky.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife Donna; children Chris (Brittany) Gray, Jeromy (Nancy) Kendall, Kim (Donnie) Burris, and Jamie (Chuck) Knight; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings Loretta (James) Walters of Dayton Ohio, Sharon Gray, Larry Gray, Jerry Gray, Bobby Gray; Ronnie Gray and Bill Gray all of Richmond, Kentucky. In addition, Ernie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, as well as his special buddy Smoke.
Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions.
