William R. Shepherd, 73, passed away on October 23, 2022. He was born on June 7, 1949 to Charles R. Shepherd and Muriel (Hengst) Shepherd in Evansville, Indiana.
Bill served his country in the United States National Guard. He retired in 2014 after many years at PPG in Evansville. In March of 1981, he met the love of his life, Terri, and within a year they got married; it was love at first sight. Together, they created a beautiful life with their children and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and cutting grass. He loved traveling and going on vacation with his family. He was always fun loving and a jokester. Above all, Bill cherished time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years Terri Shepherd; children Matthew (Katie) Shepherd, Nathan (Rebecka Moore) Shepherd, Lauren (Trent) Jones; grandchildren Lawrence and Maggie; and numerous extended family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Charles R. Shepherd and Muriel Shepherd.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 4:30pm until 7pm and following on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10am until the time of service at 11am officiated by Brother Brian Turpin at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linda E. White Hospice House or Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Bill.
