Wanda Sue Thomas, 72, passed away on April 17, 2019. She was born on February 21, 1947 to Robert Jordan and Myrtle Bishop in Madisonville, Kentucky.
Wanda had an amazing sense of humor. She loved to laugh and joke with everyone. She was a semi-truck mechanic and a fork lift driver for several years. Wanda enjoyed fishing in Bluegrass and used to hunt deer, rabbits, and squirrel on the farm in Stendale. She loved to play cards and bingo and enjoyed going to the boat.
Wanda is survived by her children Bryon (Barbi) Thomas, Nicole Thomas, and Michelle (Donald) Bryant; her grandchildren Taylor Thomas, Justin Wuertz, April Hobbs, Steve Hobbs, Ashlie Hobbs, Kersten Hobbs, Tanya, Timmy, Freddie Jr., MaKala, Jessica Bender, and Aaron Bender; numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings Mary Utterback, Ruby (Jimmy) Powell, and Betty Smith; her nieces and nephews Brenda, Tina, Jeremy, Jeff, and Sherry.
Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter Christina Lynn Thomas, her brother Bobby Jordan; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 20th at Sunset Funeral Home. A burial will directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to MSA Hospice.
