Wade Allen Lee, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Wade was born on October 26, 1960, to Gene Lee and Janice (Blake) Stanley in Sandwich, Illinois.
Wade was a wonderful cook, known for his Beef Stroganoff and his amazing Mashed Potatoes. While in high school, Wade excelled in football and track; he enjoyed all video games, in earlier years he sketched and painted. Wade also enjoyed travelling to Florida, especially Orlando. Football was his favorite sport and the Dallas Cowboys was his favorite team with Indianapolis Colts coming in second. But most importantly, Wade loved his family.
Wade is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter Faith Lee. He is survived by his loving wife Janet (Chappell) Lee; his children Jennifer Townsend (Eric Buchannan), Christopher Lee, Gene (Emily) Lee, Joe (Alyssa) Kane, and Jeffrey Hammers. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren Jonathan (Emma) Townsend, Serafina Buchanan, Leif Buchanan, Denay Lee, Domanik Lee, Adin Lee, Matthew Griffin, Garrett Kane, and Wyatt Kane. In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Adam (Julia) Lee, Lisa (Russell) Hargrove, and Collin (Debra) Lee; his 10 nieces and nephews along with many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 10:30am-12:30pm. The service will begin at 12:30pm with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
