I ran the Marine Toys for Tots program in Evansville for 8 years. Each and every year Tommy went out and collected money and toys for the kids. His huge heart and compassion for those kids was inspirational to all of us an Toys for Tots. He will be missed. RIP Tommy.
Thomas “Tommy” Joseph Lowe, 70, of Evansville, Indiana passed away surrounded by family on April 21, 2023. Tommy was born on July 12, 1952 in Perigo Arkansas to George and Ruby Lowe.
Tommy adored the outdoors he loved fishing and doing lawn care. He was a big NASCAR fan especially watching Jeff Gordon. Tommy was a sports fan; he was always watching IU basketball and Cardinals baseball every chance he got. He was an avid collector and very creative. Tommy was always able to make something out of nothing. He was a dedicated street maintenance worker for the City of Evansville working there for 32 years. Above everything else Tommy adored spending time with his family and friends. Tommy never knew a stranger.
Tommy leaves behind his wife of 32 years Eva Lowe. He will also be missed by his children; Rita (Daryl) Reuter, Toni Wilson, Jami (Brian) Sullivan, Chris (Kayla) Lowe, and Mike Smith also 13 grandkids and 5 great grandkids. Tommy also leaves behind his siblings; Jack Wayne, Carrel Ray, Charlie Elwood, Donald Lee, Paul Edward, Harry Leon, Terry Ray, Randy Jean, Debbie Frazier and numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Spencer.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents George and Ruby Lowe and his siblings; John Lowe, George Henry Jr, James William, David Leonard, Bobby Joe, and Margaret Lowe.
Visitation for Tommy will be Tuesday April 25th from 4pm to 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Tommy will be Wednesday April 26th from 10am to 11am with graveside to follow all at Sunset Funeral Home.
