Though I had only seen Terry a few times after graduation, I have never forgotten the love and kindness he had shown me when we were younger. My sympathy to the whole family, I’m sorry for your loss. Terry Wayne Helsley, 62, passed away on June 1, 2023. He was born on March 16, 1961, to Emery “Lee” Helsley and Marie “Avis” (Jones) Helsley in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
Terry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in Lynnville, Indiana. He worked as a Mechanic for several years. Terry had a passion for working on cars. He loved listening to Rock N’ Roll music. Terry enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors in his free time. Above all, Terry loved his family.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Avis Helsley; brother Allan Jager; aunts Nita Hansen, Sherry Jones, and Emma Hockenberry.
Terry is survived by his sons Terry Helsley II, Conan Helsley, Kyle Helsley; grandchildren Joel, Zoey, Caleb, Brayden, Braxden, Kaylee; siblings Tim Helsley, Kevin (Holly) Helsley, Kerry Helsley; aunts and uncles Steve and Penny Lipford, Wayne and Beth Bryant, Tom Jones, and Roy Hansen.
A Memorial Service for Terry will be held on Friday, June 9th, 2023, at 6 pm at Chandler Church of the Nazarene located at 204 N. 4th Street, Chandler, IN. 47610.
