Sylvia A. McReynolds, 78, passed away on January 27, 2021 in Worcester, Massachusetts. She was born in Evansville, Indiana to her parents, Jacqueline (Taylor) and Booker Borroum.
Sylvia was a bright and kind soul. There was not one person that she met that was a stranger. She was a social butterfly and a people person. Sylvia loved to go out dancing and socializing with her friends. She was an outstanding cook and she could make just about anything from scratch. Her son, Frank, recalls having amazing home cooked meals and she passed on her cooking knowledge to her family as often as she could. She worked as a cook for the Evansville County Club and the River House for a number of years as well. Sylvia had a strong work ethic and took a lot of pride in her work. As a mother, she was always loving and kind, but made sure to instill that same work ethic in her children. Sylvia was well-loved by her family and friends and will be missed deeply by them.
Preceding Sylvia are her parents; her great-grandparents, Joseph and Vera Taylor; her sons, Roylee McReynolds and Fred Thomas; and her daughter, Annette Thomas.
Surviving Sylvia is her son, Frank McReynolds; her daughter, Vera Borroum; her aunt, Ronnie Cruder; her grandchildren, Catina McReynolds, Frank Andre McReynolds, Roylee McReynolds, Jr., Antonio McReynolds, and Kenda McReynolds; her great-grandson, Cain McReynolds; Mateo Bailey, Bryan Bailey, Natoliya, Braden McReynolds, Jaquori McReynolds, Malachi McReynolds; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Evansville, Indiana from 12pm-2pm. Service will follow immediately at 2pm. The service will be livestreamed via Zoom.US. Please call Sunset at 812.477.5316 for login details.
