Sylvia Jean Stepro, 64, passed away on January 28th, 2023. She was born on July 23rd, 1958  to Norma Jean Goodwin and Jame Rhoades in Evansville, Indiana.

Sylvia was a manager at Wendy’s, an amazing mom, and a very hardworking woman, though sometimes hardheaded. She held three jobs at a time, and always made the effort of going on a 5-mile walk in the morning. She loved puzzles, adult coloring books, crime TV, MASH, Andy Griffith, Tom & Jerry, and more than anything else, her loving family, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Her grandson Dakota would like to share a meaningful note to those lucky enough to know Sylvia: “To the ones I’ve lost: You may be leaving me in this life, but I will see you again in the next one. There, we can sit and reminisce on all the things we’ve done, but as for now, I say goodbye. We will see each other again.”

Sylvia is survived by her longtime companion, David Clark; daughters, Wahcoma and Samantha Clark; grandchildren Shawn, Sheradah, Issiac, Dakota Collins (Bailey,) Keana, Keion, David, Samuel, and Emmanuel; Great-grandchildren, London (Gracie) Collins, Declan Collins, and Asuna Jean Collins; and her furbaby, Motiha. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Sylvia’s family has entrusted Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park with her services.

Donations may be made to Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park to assist with funeral expenses.
