We all lost a friend and all ’round nice guy with Steve’s passing. Peg and I will cherish the good times on our dinner outings with Steve, Jackie and Andy. One of Steve’s gems I remember on one of our outings was Steve’s assertion that he was learning Spanish by watching Spanish language television!
    RIP dear Steve.

Steven Paul, 72, passed away on November 27, 2022. He was born on May 25, 1950 to Joseph and Mary Virginia Paul in Evansville, Indiana.

Steve was a warm and kind man.  One of Steve’s best attributes was his sense of humor. He was known for his wit and always had a “tall tale” ready to share. Steve was hardworking, spending over 30 years in clothing sales including long careers with both Strouse’s and Jos. A. Bank. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. His favorite days were those spent with his loving wife Jackie.

On May 6th, 2015, Steve received a bilateral lung transplant. Steve and his family are forever thankful for the choice a young Texan man named Ty made to be an organ donor. Because of Ty’s choice to help others in need, he provided Steve’s family another wonderful 7 ½ years. To Ty and his family, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Jackie Paul. He is also survived by his bonus daughter Krissanne Harbison; bonus granddaughter Shelby Burriss; bonus great-grandchildren Ronan and Lana; siblings Barbara (John) Morrison, Andy Paul,  Becky (Tony) Grill, Stanly Paul, Pat (Josephine) Paul, Bernie (Lisa) Paul, Mary Huth (Robert Pope), as well as 13 nieces and nephews, and 17 great nieces and nephews, and many extended family members and friends.

A Memorial service will be from 1-3 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022, in the Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
