Skylar Allen Newton, 21, passed away on October 3, 2019. He was born on September 11, 1998 to Scott Newton and LaVona McKendree in Evansville, Indiana.

Skylar’s main passion in life was spending time with his daughter Aubrey who he nicknamed “Pretty.” He loved her with all his heart. Skylar was an artist. He enjoyed drawing, singing, and playing his guitar. He taught himself how to play. He was so loved by his entire family who will miss him dearly.

Skylar is survived by his daughter Aubrey Newton; the love of his life and Aubrey’s mom Kayla Sinyard; his parents; his siblings Mercedes (Timmy) Newton, Shaleigha Newton, Royelle Newton, Wynter (Alec) Meiggs, Alayna Newton, Jayden Newton, Matthew McKendree, Lucas Irvy, Jaxon McKendree, Zach (Kristi) McKendree, and Noah Scott; his aunts and uncles Shirley McKendree, Allen (Scott) Palmer, Teresa (Bob) Brown, Connie Mills, Venus (Russel) Graves, and Tammy (David) Ruiz; his grandmothers Delores McKendree and Janice Newton; and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Skylar was preceded in death by his brother Scott Allen Newton; his grandfathers Ed McKendree and Ernie Newton; and his aunts Tina Gadberry and Cindy Carter.
