Shirley Ann (Rainey) Crews, 85, passed away on December 12, 2022. She was born on August 17, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana.
Shirley was an animal lover; she had two dogs Sadie and Penny, and had an impressive talent for training Parakeets. Along with her love for animals, she loved collecting elephants and clowns. She enjoyed making collages, playing games, and chatting with friends.
Shirley held her friends and family close to her heart. She found great importance in staying connected and making memories with her loved ones. Shirley created so many precious memories with the love of her life, Pat. Her love for her family was boundless and she will be missed by all.
Shirley is survived by her love Pat Gore; children Mike (Christine) Crews, Linda Crews, Monte (Deltina) Crews, Mark (Cindy) Crews; grandchildren Christopher, Wayne, James, Elizabeth, Jonathon, Alex; several great-grandchildren; siblings Jack (Betty) Rainey, Donald Kendle, James Kendle; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Alfred Rainey and Louise Kendle; her husband of many years Monte Crews Sr.; her beloved son lost in infancy; and her brother Gary Kendle.
A graveside service for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2 pm at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
