Sharyn R. Halbig, 86, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2022. She was born on May 20, 1936 to Theodore Fink Sr. and Lillian (Epple) Fink in Evansville, Indiana.
Sharyn was the most joyful spirit to be around. She was so fun loving and a kid at heart and was absolutely adored for it. She was an avid debater and full of knowledge. She was a devoted Christian and inspired all surrounding her with her strong faith in the Lord. She was very patriotic; she loved her country immensely. She was an avid book reader. She was very creative and talented, she sewed clothing and dolls. She was a Marvel fanatic; she held all the memorabilia you could imagine. Christmas was Sharyn’s favorite time of the year, she counted down the days to celebrate with her family and make memories. She had a heart of gold, she listened and cared for all. Above all, Sharyn loved her family more than anything.
Sharyn is survived by her four children Ellen Lynn Kempf (Timothy), Michael Richard Halbig (Cindy), Amy Theresa Debes and Charlie, Bradley Richard Halbig (Melinda); grandchildren Adam Kempf, Abby Kempf, Mandy Halbig, Jason Halbig, Brandon Halbig, Tanner Halbig, Joshua Debes, Haley Halbig, Noah Halbig, Hope Halbig; Brother Ted Fink Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Sharyn was preceded in death by her husband Richard John Halbig and parents Theodore Fink Sr. and Lillian (Epple) Fink.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
