I’m proud of Sam for his love of family and work ethic. Sam worked for everything he got. He was willing to share with anyone who needed help or just a friend. Lots of folks will miss his “spirit” that is no longer present.
Samuel “Sam” Lawrence Graves, 70, passed away on January 15, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway. He was born on August 18, 1949 in Evansville, Indiana his parents, the late Russell and Helen (Roth) Graves.
Sam owned and operated Sam’s Repair Service for 28 years before retiring in 2011. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles. Sam loved the outdoors, drag racing, fishing and camping. Sam was a very hard worker and could work on, fix or build anything.
Sam is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Wright) Graves of 49 years; children Julie (John) Foster, Mark Tyler, Chad (Myndie) Graves, Bradley Graves; grandchildren; Kayanna, Kevin, Maggie , Gracie, and Aaliyah, Brianna, Avan, and Lilly ; several siblings; many nieces and nephews; also Sam’s canine companion, his Boxer “Brick”.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents.
Per the family’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
