Sally Ann Callen
Born Aug 26, 1949 in Anderson, IN to Raymond Lee Callen and Virgina Ann Callen(Land).
Graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville, IN in 1967. Attended ISUE/In. State
Evansville Campus, Now USI, and also attended David Lipscomp College in Nashville, TN.
Started work career at dept store DeJongs in the credit office, then spent 7 years at Evansville
Credit Bureau, later spent over 20 years as a movie theater manager, mostly at Showplace
Cinemas, also spent 12 1⁄2 years delivering coffee products to the tri-state businesses at Fischer
Candy Company. Worked part-time at Mcdonalds, Taco Johns, and Executive Inn. Retired from
Tropicana after 10 years as a full-time Valet attendant. She was preceded in death by her
parents and her brother Steve Callen. Survived by Sister-in-law Sheila Callen of Madisonville,
KY, Nephew Chris Callen (April) of Henderson, KY, Niece Becca Allen (James) of England,
Cousin Paula Callen of Greenwood, IN, Great niece Bethanie Callen, Great Nephews Hayden
and Mitchell all 3 of Henderson,KY and her very best friend Tonja St. Clair of Horse Branch, KY.
Donations may be given in Sally’s name to Vanderburgh Humane Society, or Washington
Avenue Church of Christ or Evansville Habitat for Humanity. Services will be held at Washington
Avenue Church of Christ February 13th at 5:30 pm.
