Russell Adam McKnight, 45, passed away on April 22, 2023. He was born on November 26, 1977, in Nortonville, Kentucky.
Russell, affectionately known by his loved ones as Rusty, was the most wonderful man. He was an avid University of Kentucky fan. He loved spending days on the lake fishing. Russell absolutely loved Christmas; he was so excited to get the perfect gift and meal ready for his family. He had a tender heart for serving others. Russell was a “tell you like it is” guy with an unmatched sense of humor. Russell was so talented in cooking the most delectable meals for his family. Russell and his wife, Barbette, were together for 23 beautiful years and created a wonderful life together with their children. Russell will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Russell is survived by his loving wife Barbette McKnight; children Myia Jutzi (Jordan Foster), Hunter McKnight, Russell “Ehren” McKnight; mother Nancy McKnight; Grandchildren Alina and Jayden Lee; siblings Timothy (Jamie) Watson, Ashley McKnight; Mother-in-law Betty Jutzi-Titzer (Mike); Sister-in-law Brittney (Jeremy) Caine; Brother-in-laws Benjamin (Karina) Jutzi and Bryce Jutzi; fur babies Cara, Honey, and Zorro; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Russell was preceded in death by his father Gene McKnight.
Visitation will be held for Russell from 3pm until the time of service at 5pm on April 28th, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home.
