Ruby Lee White

Ruby Lee White, 60, passed away on October 1, 2020. She was born on December 23, 1959 to Artie and Emma Lee White in Chicago, Illinois.

Ruby was a loving kindhearted woman. She loved to laugh and tell jokes. Ruby loved spending time with her family especially her daughters and grandchildren. Ruby was an amazing cook and loved cooking big meals for her family. Her specialties were potato salad and spaghetti. Ruby loved to dance and listen to music. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards, her favorite being spades.

Ruby is survived by her daughters Erica Meeks and Vanora Humphries; her grandchildren Shania, Briana, and Rhyanne; her husband Arthur Meeks; her siblings Artie White Jr., Rosie Simpson, Barbara Jean White, Willie Mae White, and Joseph White; her step-mother Bettie Payton-White; her aunt Alice Bailey; and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Emma Lee White and Artie White; her uncle George White; her brother Walter White; and her nephews Anthony Ridley, and Damieon Rodgers, and Brian A. Ridley.

Services will be held at a later date in her hometown of Chicago.
