Roy Lee Wilson, 90, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018. Roy was born in Owensville on November 14, 1927.
He served in the Army during World War II and was part of the recovery efforts in Germany. He was a cost accountant at Whirlpool for 40years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. As a hobby he farmed Christmas trees.
Roy is survived by his wife of 70 years Joan (Stone) Wilson; children Larry (Carolyn) K. Wilson from Stuart, FL, Lou Ann Wilson of Louisville, KY and Penni (Dennis) S. Williamson of Haubstadt, IN; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and son Jerry L. Wilson.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Deaconess Visiting Nurses Association.
