    Pam and Shari, I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I saw him in church a few months ago and know he was really frail. I would ask Donald or Jim Geiser how he was doing. I had talked to him about how much trouble he had eating. My late husband had trouble like that too. The radiation just burned up his throat. (I did not say that to your dad, though!) I will remember the good times our Sunday School Class had together for so many years. Your family has my deepest sympathies. God Bless.

Ronald G. Burgdorf, 82, passed away on June 1, 2019. He was born on August 29, 1936 to Edward and Alma Burgdorf in Evansville, Indiana

Ronnie was a grain farmer for over 60 years. Farming was his life’s passion. He lived his life on his family farm here in Evansville. Ronnie enjoyed his westerns and classic country music. He loved spending his time with his family especially his grandson. He enjoyed travelling with his daughters all around America. Ronnie served in the National Guard and was a member of the Reitz R-Men Varsity Club and a 4H leader for many years. He was also a member of St. Paul’s UCC.

Ronnie is survived by his daughters Pam (Mike) Bobay and Shari (Jon) Kohlhepp; and his grandson Lucas Bobay.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife Paula Burgdorf; his brother Eddie Burgdorf; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5th at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the FFA Reitz High School Division.
