Robert “Doug” Liggett, 71, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2019. He was born December 31, 1947 in St. Wendel, Indiana to the late Ethel and Samuel Liggett.
Doug was a proud United States veteran who served his country for four years in the Air Force. He worked for the Evansville airport for 47 years before he retired. In his free time, he loved to bowl, shoot pool, and watch Notre Dame football on Saturdays.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Mary; sons Johnny, Gary; granddaughters Madison, Raegan; sister Betty (Chuck) Veach; and special niece and nephew Katie Wilson and Otis Bruitt.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents; and 9 siblings.
Services will be held on at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Friday August 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm. The family will receive guest from 3:00 pm to the time of the service.
