    Bob was such a great neighbor when we lived on Madison Ave. I remember him always working on something around the house but especially his cars! He always had a smile on his face! RIP Bob! Prayers for the family

Robert Dale Johns, 75, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2020. He was born on July 2, 1944, to James and Violet Johns in Pike County, Indiana.

Bob was a handyman. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical and taking things apart and putting them back together. His passion in life was working on cars. Bob also enjoyed fishing, especially in rivers. He loved to fish in the Ohio River and the Wabash. Bob loved the Lord and was a Pentecostal.

Bob is survived by his wife of over 20 years Ruby Johns; his children Mary (Timmy) Devault, Karla (Brian) Spindler, Duane (Ashley) Johns, Sean Webb, Christy Conner, Jenny Gardner, and Ricky Conner; many grandchildren; his siblings Jim (Nancy) Johns, Claude (Carla) Johns, Joe Johns, Mary Brock, Aloha Altevogt, and Bonnie (Vic) Moehler; many loving nieces and nephews; his longtime friend of over 70 years Ronnie Phillips and his longtime friend of over 30 years Bill Martin.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Larry Brock.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 10 am on July 3rd, 2021 at the Sunset Memorial Park Gazebo.
