I had the privilege of knowing Rick for a little over 20 years through his daughter. I have fond memories of grill outs, birthday parties, and other gatherings that he welcomed us to have at his house. He was always so kind and inclusive of my family and we will remember his fun-loving hospitable personality. One memory that sticks with me, is when Rick had to have a back surgery maybe 10+ years ago. Dana I went up to Indy with him and Linda (we shared a hotel room….I know what were we thinking…) Although it was a very serious trip, we made the best of it…All Dana and I could do was shake our head and laugh at Rick…If you know him, you understand why…He kept us up all night and Dana finally had to drug me (nothing hard or illegal– HAHA) because I was desperate for rest. However, during that trip, I had one of the greatest opportunities that someone could have. Dana/Linda welcomed me back into the pre-surgery prep waiting area. Dana was sharing her faith with her father and just really wanted him to know how much she loved him and how much God loved him. Through this, I had the great honor of leading Rick to the Lord. It will forever be ingrained in me…how much a daughter loved her father that she just couldn’t even stand the thought of him going into surgery without knowing undeniably where he would be if he didn’t wake up. What a special relationship. To all Ricks family, my heart goes out to you with love and prayers.

He was my sister’s husband and a friend. I introduced him to the Masonry and he became a Shriner and a clown. I can’t attend the service but I hope he is given a Masonic Funeral
RIP brother until you raised again

We met Rick at Dave’s Sporstbar where a bunch of us older women went on Thursday for lunch . Rick called us the Thursday girls. He was so friendly and seemed to know and like everyone he met. We are all so sorry that he will not be there to make us all a little happier.
