So very sorry for your loss. My family and i were talking about how friendly and sooo funny, Dick was when we spent time around him years ago. So many precious memories of Dick. He will surely be missed!
Richard “Dick” “Poppie” DeVault, age 82, passed away on October 10, 2018 in Evansville, IN. Dick was born January 27, 1936 to Annabelle and Harvey DeVault in Evansville, IN. He was a huge Kentucky Wildcats fan and an all-around handyman. He would always find projects to keep himself busy from remodeling to gardening. Above all things, he loved his family. He retired from Whirlpool after 41 years of service.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Dorothy DeVault; Children Rhonda (Tracy) Wallace, Tom (Stacey) DeVault; Grandchildren Linda Carlton, Chad Hoffman, Matthew DeVault, Sydney DeVault; bonus grandchildren Kyle Wallace and Andrea Wallace-Brown; great-grandchildren Drew, Nate, Peyton, Skylar, Brady, Hailie, Arya, Cece, William, and Matilda; brother Mar DeVault; and many loving family members.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents; Brother Thomas DeVault; Sister Betty Wolf; and faithful canine companion, Harley.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 14th, 2018 from 2-6 pm at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville, IN. A service will be held Monday, October 15th, 2018 at 10am at Sunset Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Sunset Memorial Park.
