Patricia Ann (Nelson) Smith, 80, passed away on January 23, 2021 in Evansville, Indiana. She was born to her parents, Esther (Hein) and Theodore Nelson on November 4, 1940.
Patricia was a fun-loving but stubborn woman as her family recalls, but in the best way. If she didn’t want to do something, she was not doing it. On the other hand, if she wanted something done, it was a done deal. She was a woman of faith who attended Albright Methodist Church as a lifelong member and she loved to sing at church, worshipping and praising God. She had a wanderlust soul and loved to travel. She loved to watch Nascar and her favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints. Most of all, she adored and cared for her family. She loved to spend as much quality time with them as possible, especially with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved them with her whole heart and she will be deeply missed by them.
Preceding Patricia in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Jane Wright; her daughters, Debbie and Cindy Chandler; and her stepdaughter, Kelley Fore.
Surviving Patricia is her loving husband of 43 years, Donald Smith; her children, Rick (Lynn) Chandler, Randall (Laurie) Chandler, and Matthew Chandler; her stepchildren, Rhonda Smith, Donna Sandefur, Donald A. (Dorothy) Smith, Jr., Shelly Wilson, Kevin (Tangela) Smith; her grandchildren, Justin (Liz) Chandler, Andy (Britton) Chandler, Debra Ruby Chandler, and several other beloved grandchildren; and her great-grandson, Benji Chandler and many other great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
