Patrice “Pat” Crocker, 68, went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2021. She was born on May 5, 1953, to Offit Wayne and Crystal Doom in Paducah, Kentucky.

Pat was a beautiful, big-hearted woman. She had many talents and hobbies; not only finding enjoyment in them but putting them to use in helping others as well. Pat went into healthcare early in life. She earned her LPN certification and worked at various Long Term Healthcare facilities throughout the years. She eventually found herself working with the VA clinic. Pat loved helping and caring for these veterans and their families. Many who knew her would even say, “she’s such a fighter and inspiration on loving life.” For a short time, Pat opened her own business, a floral and craft boutique called Lasting Impressions. She put together beautiful arrangements for many occasions. She also enjoyed fishing; anywhere that she should cast her line. Pat had a skillful hand. She was a phenomenal painter and artist. She made jewelry for people and other crafty things. Pat also became very active with Cancer Pathways Midwest. She taught classes there in crafting and scrapbooking. When Pat wasn’t busy working or helping others, she was with her family. She was a wife, a mother, and a granny. She leaves to them her legacy of the ability to care for others and so, so much love.

Pat is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jack Crocker; her son, Nathan Murphy; her grandchildren, Ashley Hines (Kevin Rutter) and Ryan Murphy; her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Burris and Cora Rutter; her sister, Kim Doom; nieces Samantha (Josh) Harvey (and boys) and Rebecca (Michael) Burden (and boys); additional blended family, Cindy Bleth, Samantha Forman (Charlie and children), and J.Q. (Suzy) Crocker; and grandkids, Jessamy (Lee) Patton, Zach, Jacob, and Mercedes Bleth, Nicholas, Gabriella and Isabella Pappas, Quentin, Cody and Kaitlyn Crocker; and many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Pamela Doom; her daughter-in-law, Dee Dee Murphy; and her brother, Clifford Doom

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made payable to Heritage Hospice, ASPCA, and Cancer Pathways Midwest. They also would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Titzer, MD and oncology staff at Oncology/Hematology Associates and Heritage Hospice for all the love and care given to Pat.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Mesker Park Building number 14.
