Norma Jean Ethridge, 84, passed away peacefully April 11, 2018, in Newburgh, IN. Norma Jean was born the daughter of William and Marcella Smith on December, 31, 1933, in Evansville, IN.
Norma Jean was known for her enjoyment of playing any card game, bingo, and poker. She never met a rummage sale or flea market that she didn’t like, and was an excellent and crafty home maker. She loved her family but especially time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Norma Jean is survived by her children Jeannine Ethridge, Keith (Kerry) Ethridge, and Summer (Chris) Pike; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and she was one of 18 siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Big Bob” Ethridge; her parents; children Bobby Ethridge, Kimberly, and Brenda; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Sunset Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., funeral service will be on Saturday, April 14, 2018, starts at 12:30 p.m. with entombment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The family would also like to thank MSA Hospice for the excellent care they gave Norma Jean.
