On Friday, August 9, 2019, Nancy Rose Wilson, loving sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away at age 85.
An Evansville native, Nancy was born on February 4th to Eugene and Mary Bollinger. After attending Bosse High School and Evansville College, she married Tom Wilson, and together they raised four beautiful children, Debra Dillman (Matt), Teri Lockwood (Stuart), Mark J. Wilson (Carmen), and Angela Salaiz.
Nancy had a passion for music, dancing, roses, reading and chocolate. If she had Frank Sinatra playing in the background, a Hershey’s bar in her hand, and her sister, Mary, sitting across from her playing Bridge, then you knew she was having the perfect day.
Her energy and joy for life was infectious, which was evident by the many friends and loved ones she was constantly surrounded by. She particularly lit up the room when it involved playing Left, Right, Center with her grandchildren, Kyle Dillman (Kristie), Amber Lockwood (Tom), Ryan Dillman (Andi), Evan Lockwood, Cory Wilson, and Brenna Gilkey (Nathan), and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Matthew, and Harper Rose Dillman.
Not a rose or chocolate bar will go unnoticed by those who have survived her without a loving memory of Nancy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to time of the service.
Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
