Melvin & Elaine have been wonderful & dear friends for many many years. We shared vacations, a lot of holidays & our love for the God!! Melvin will be missed for sure down here but know he is very happy in his new home!!
Melvin C. Cox, 84, passed away on July 12, 2022. He was born on August 24, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana.
Melvin served his country in the United States Army. He devoted many years working at Alcoa. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Elaine. Together, they made many fond memories with their family taking trips. He greatly enjoyed woodworking; he took his talents to craft shows for several years. He loved dining out, Hardee’s hamburgers were his favorite. Above all, his family meant the world to him.
Melvin was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Schultz and siblings Robert Cox, Jack Cox, and Billie Tyler.
Melvin is survived by his wife Elaine Cox; children Cindy Fleeger (Michael), and Mike Cox (Debbie); grandson Andrew Fleeger (Kayla Watson); great-granddaughter Kynnadi Fleeger; brother-in-law Bud Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 1pm at Sunset Memorial Park.
