A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park.

Matthew Richard Spalding, 31, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on May 26, 2018. He was born November 9, 1986, in Evansville the son of Richard Spalding and Terri McCarty Smith.
Mathew loved playing the guitar and watching movies and old shows. He enjoyed fishing and playing with his daughter Ryann and his nieces and nephews. He was fascinated as a child with the weather and we never had to worry about what weather was.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Richard Spalding and wife, Carol and Terri McCarty Smith and husband, Ira; daughter, Ryann Spalding; siblings, Lindsey Crow and Stephen Smith; aunts, Martha DeTalente, Alice Albin, and Londa Myers; girlfriend, Kimberly McKean; and grandparents, Richard and Joan Spalding.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Taylor and grandparents, TJ, and Hattie McCarty.
