Marilyn Joy Hill, 80, went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2019. She was born on September 21, 1939 to Lowell and Marjorie Griffith in Pike County, Indiana.

Marilyn was a woman of God. She was a member of North Park Wesleyan Church. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading the Bible daily. Marilyn received a Master’s Degree at University of Evansville and went on to be a school teacher. Marilyn loved her family and took care of them. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, especially during the holidays. She loved experimenting with different recipes. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and singing in the church choir.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 59 years Charles Hill; her daughters Charmon (Jerry) Poiles and Chauna Hill; her grandchildren Chelsea Poiles, Tyler Poiles, Dylan Poiles, Alison DelaConcepcion, Ava Farfour, and Alyssa Farfour; her great-grandchildren Aiden Poiles, Charlee Poiles, Autumn Poiles, and Bayleigh Poiles; her sisters Shelby (Danny) Rhoades and Debbie Staley; and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter Holly Hill Farfour; her parents; and her sister Joan Stone.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 2nd at Sunset Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 3rd at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the Heart to Heart Hospice nurses, the North River Campus nurses, and a special thanks to Jill, Jennifer, Siara, Crystal, Keri, and Mallory for all of their care and love of the Hill Family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to North Park Wesleyan Church.
