Hi, this is Debbie (Poer) Cates, Linda’s cousin. Her mother and my dad, CB, were brother and sister. I would like to know more about Linda and what she’s been doing since I saw her last. Please call me so we can talk. I grew up idolizing linda. Call 804 721 7494. Thank you.
Linda Clay Bond, 72, passed away on May 7, 2020. She was born on October 3, 1947 to Clay and Anna Louise Howell in Evansville, Indiana.
Linda will be remembered for her positive attitude, selflessness, and caring spirit. She never met a stranger and anyone who knew her became a part of her family. Her love for all God’s creatures meant that countless people and pets alike found refuge in her home and in her heart throughout the years. Linda’s heart was at the beach, and she would always encourage others to find their happy place, find their beach.
Linda is survived by her children Patrick (Jennifer) Murtha of Oregon, Nichole (Tony) Newell, and Jamie Bond; her grandchildren Daniel Bond, Curtis Murtha, Austin Bond (Chauncy Sunderland), Chip Murtha, Samantha Bond, Cadence Bond, and Tucker Bradley; her great-grandchildren Iris Bond and Bexley Bond; and many other family and close friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her children Tina Bond, Tammy Hoyas, and Daniel Howell; her parents; and her brothers Melvin Howell, Kenneth Howell, and Wayne Howell.
As per Linda’s wishes, there will be no services. The family requests that any flowers be sent to Liberty Way and that any donations to be sent to the Humane Society.
Condolence(1)-
