Leotas Junior (Dewey) Johns, 72, passed away on October 15, 2020. He was born on August 27, 1948 to Leotas and Lena Johns in Petersburg, Indiana.
Leotas served his country in the United States Army. He was very handy and spent most of his life as a carpenter. He was always working on things and was an amazing woodworker. Leotas loved spending time with his family. He was very caring and dedicated to his loved ones. He would always help them in time of need.
Leotas is survived by his children David (Crystal) Sloan and Megan (Josh) Sutton; his granddaughter Savannah Sloan; his sister Toni Summers; his niece Kelly Farmer; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Leotas was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Cynthia Johns; his parents; and his siblings Jerry Johns, Evelyn Mitchell, Sylvia-Jane Wheeler, and Wally Johns.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. central time Monday, October 19th at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana. Graveside service will be at 1:30 eastern time at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery 1037 N State Road 61 Petersburg, Indiana 47567.
