Leonard August Benke, 90, passed away on November 25, 2019. He was born on September 21, 1929 in Evansville, Indiana.
When it comes to writing Dad‘s obituary your heart is so full of a lifetime of memories sometimes your brain has trouble processing into choosing just the right words while grieving and not wanting to forget a single moment good or bad, all the special people that have come and gone into his life of 90 years.
Leonard Benke was a lot of things to a lot of different people, first being a son, then father, grandfather, great grandfather, etc. All who met him truly have their own special times and memories of him that they will not forget, his specialties included humor, quick wit, and of course those special nicknames that he gave to friends and family

He is survived by daughter Karen, son Mike (Tracey), granddaughter Michelle, grandsons Bryan and Bailey and great grandson Garrett Kloke, stepchildren Kim,Vicki, Ron, Shirleen and Debbie and their husbands, children and grandchildren and mother June Eli, and several grandkitties.
Leonard was preceded by his parents Alfred and Delta Benke and his granddaughter Myranda Kloke.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 30th at Sunset Funeral Home.
