On Friday night of July 22, 2022, Larry K. Mangold passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born to Ralph and Kathleen (Williams) Mangold on April 17 th , 1954.

Larry lived a full life, actively raising and loving his children and grandchildren. He spent over thirty years
working for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation as a custodian and carpenter, retiring at
fifty-five years old. Larry was a passionate woodworker that loved to stay busy. In his free time, he
would be building bird houses, teaching his grandchildren how to use the tools of his trade, or helping
family and friends with projects. He was a dedicated member of the Griffin Community Ruritan Club,
advocate of chips and salsa from Hacienda, and fan of the WWE. Sunday mornings, in his later years, he
could be found having breakfast with his son, Christopher, at Friendship Diner keeping his mind sharp by
sharing his wealth of woodworking knowledge.

Larry is survived by two sons, Christopher (Lauren) and Steven (Connie) Mangold; daughter, Tammy
(Shane) Todd; stepdaughters, Lydia Barrett, Lucinda (Steven) Joseph, and Lacey Barrett; seventeen
loving grandchildren; one great grandchild; five brothers, Donald, Robert (Shirley), Ralph (Teresa),
Ronald (Kim), and Randall (Lawana) Mangold; five sisters, Colene Mattingly, Sharon Greubel, Bettie
Armel, and Debra (John) Lockhart; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his wife, Jennifer.
Along with his parents, Larry is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gary Mangold; a sister,
Marilyn Horn; sister-in-law, Beverly Mangold; and brothers in law, Bob Mattingly, Jerry Greubel, and Phil
Armel.

Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Evansville, Indiana. Visitation will be
held Wednesday, July 27 th from 5pm – 8pm, and Thursday, July 28 th from 11am-12pm, with the funeral
immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Evansville
Humane Society.
