Larry A. Stinson, 83, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022. He was born on March 8, 1939, to Harold Theodore Stinson and Evelyn Vanway in Griffin, Indiana.
Larry was a graduate of Griffin High School in 1957. He went on to attend University of Evansville. In the early years of his career, he owned Stinson Hardware in Mt. Vernon. He owned and operated Stinson Water Well Pump. He was a Fabricator of Stone Mason. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. Larry was a member of Griffin Christian Church. He was a past member of Elks Lodge, Conservation Club, and Masonic Lodge in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Larry dearly loved his two Jack Russell’s, Theodore and Harley. He enjoyed an occasional cigar and beer with good friends. Larry’s twinkle in his eye will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his beloved partner and caregiver for 19 years Connie Capper; son Scott Stinson; daughter Tiffany Williams and partner Allie Burton; grandchildren Capper Williams, Elijah, Bethan, Jessica, and Ezra Stinson.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Jennifer Stinson; sister Linda Blackford; and granddaughter Anna Stinson.
A private graveside burial will take place at a later date at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin, Indiana. Donations may be made to P.O Box 282 in Griffin, Indiana.
