John Wayne Pate, 64, passed away on September 30, 2020. He was born on August 27, 1956.
John was an outdoorsman. He loved fishing and feeding the squirrels at Garvin Park. John loved to cook. His specialty was his homemade biscuits and he loved corn fritters and catfish. John enjoyed watching old westerns, especially John Wayne, and NCIS. Above all else, John loved spending time with his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife of 17 years Virginia Pate; his children John Roy and Tarrena Trojahn; his grandchildren Jenny Rose, Destiny, Helen Mae, Isaac, Isiah, John Jr., Charles Robert, Theresa, Danielle Deziray and Madilyn; his step-grandchildren Brandon and Teanna; his several great-grandchildren; his sisters Ella Mae and Teresa; and many loving nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents William Pate Jr. and Norma Jean Pate; his daughter Maelynn Pate; his brothers Norman Pate and Billy Pate; and his sister Marie Pate.
