Jean Michelle Brown, 58, passed away on May 3, 2020. She was born to Beatrice and Wesley Brown Sr. on March 11, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was raised by Carolyn and Franklin Ashby in Evansville, IN and Spottsville, KY.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was outgoing and made friends with anyone she encountered. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, and collecting paintings.
Jean is survived by her children Shanda Brown, Tynisha Stewart, Brittney Odom, and Damien Odom; her grandchildren Kyonni Hazelwood, KyAvion Hooks, Donnie Roach III, Dervontae Roach, Ahmir Barrett, De’Marien Simpson, and De’Nyjah Simpson; her sisters Elaine Mayhew, Cynthia Brown, and twin sister Joan Brown; her longtime companion Kevin Odom; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Beatrice and Wesley Brown Sr. and Carolyn and Franklin Ashby; her brothers Wesley Brown Jr, Ivan Brown, and George “Kenny” Brown.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 14th at Sunset Funeral Home.
