Kristine, there are no words that can mend the broken heart of bereaved grandparents and parents. I am thinking of you and your family during this tragic time and I hope that the love and joy that Jasmine brought to your family give you strength and peace during these difficult times. You and your family are in my prayers. Sincerely, Juan F Vargas.
I grew up with Jasmine she was my brothers best friend later on me and my brother moved in next door to her. Over those 2 years being her neighbor we got extremely close. She was like a sister to me I will keep the family in my prayers.
Jasmine “Jazzi Jo” Joanna Guest, 14, passed away on March 25, 2021. She was born on March 5, 2007 to Justin Guest and Stacy (Neaveill) Mackey in Newburgh, Indiana.
Jazzi had always been such a great kid. Her loving and sweet nature drew people to her. Jazzi was very much a social butterfly. She was a student at North Posey Junior High and was very active in school. She played on the volleyball team, was a member of the cheerleading squad, and was an Honor Roll Student. She aspired to go to Michigan State University someday and play volleyball with the Spartans. After college, she dreamed of building a shelter for the homeless in the area. She was one who would give the shirt off her back for another. Jazzi loved to travel and had many places she wanted to visit. She had many, many friends, but the best of those friends has been Izzy and Maddie. They’ve always been inseparable. Jazzi also enjoyed many kinds of music.
Jazzi is survived by her parents, Stacy (Evin) Mackey and Justin (Sarah) Guest; her siblings, Alexis, Destiny, and Makayla Rodgers, and Jacob, Jaylen, Jianna, and Khaidyn Guest; her grandparents, Tom (Paula) Neaveill, Kim Hoehn, Kristine Guest, and great-grandmother, Lue Guest; her aunt, Kalah Guest; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jazzi is preceded in passing by her brother, Shawn Rodgers; and her grandfather, Randy Hoehn.
A celebration of life service will be held for Jazzi at Sunset Funeral Home on Friday, April 2, 2021. Visitation time will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with the service to begin at 1:00PM.
