    Jan, you touched so many lives in you Love to help others especially the youths. You were a woman.of strong faith. I cherish the memories at the bowling alley and our private chats on FB. Thank you for all tbat you did always believing in others. You will be greatly missed but I know we will be reunited in heaven someday soon. Watch over your kids. Helo guide them. Until we see each other again thank you. I will miss you but I will never stop loving you❤❤

Jan was born October 6, 1932 to LeRoy Edward Schulz and Pearl Mae (Duff) Schulz. Jan was raised in Minnesota and after marrying Paul Henry Schlimmer in October 1954, moved to Evansville in 1957 where they raised four children. Jan was a bowler (1950- 1992) and was inducted into both the Evansville Hall of Fame and Indiana State Hall of Fame for Meritorious service in 1983. She coached youth bowlers at Meadow Lanes for 37 years and retired in May of 2005. She served on the Evansville Women’s Bowling Ass’n board as a director and as the Vice President for many years and attended many State and National Meetings as a delegate. Jan received the first “Coach of the Year Award” from the Indiana State AJBC. She also served as a director, Vice President, and President of the Indiana State AJBC and helped with the merger of the YBA and AJBC into the Young American Bowling Association. Jan was a member of Old North United Methodist Church and served on the board of Trustees for many years. She helped to establish the Old North Nursery School. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for nine years. Jan retired from the Evansville Water Department in 1997. Previously she had worked at the Vanderburgh County Public Welfare Department, the Northside License Branch, A.P. Schlimmer and Sons and Whirlpool.

Jan is survived by her 3 sons, Paul J. Schlimmer and wife, Tonya of Evansville, Parry Schlimmer and wife, Carol of Boonville, and Patrick Schlimmer and wife, Stacy of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter, Penny and husband, Kevin Titzer of Newburgh; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry Schlimmer in 1994; 2 brothers, Fred Schulz of Texas and Clayton of Iowa; and parents, Leroy and Pearl Schulz of Austin Minnesota.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, July 6th, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 7th, 2018  at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana.
